JPMorgan Chase to Rebrand Nutmeg as J.P. Morgan Personal Investing in November 2023

JPMorgan Chase is set to rebrand Nutmeg, the digital wealth manager it acquired in 2021, as part of its expansion into UK consumer finance. The rebranding will take place in November 2023, marking the end of the Nutmeg brand's over decade-long presence in the UK market.

The rebranding will see Nutmeg's app and online dashboard adopt the J.P. Morgan name. This change will allow Chase customers to view their investments alongside their everyday banking. The new service, J.P. Morgan Personal Investing, will carry over Nutmeg's existing services and introduce new features.

Among the new additions are a wealth planner tool and a DIY investment platform, slated for launch in 2026. Mark O'Donovan, appointed as the CEO of International Consumer Banking at JPMorgan Chase in June 2025, is overseeing these initiatives. He is also leading the launch of a digital retail bank in Germany.

From November 2023, investors with more than £250,000 will have access to dedicated relationship managers. Minimum investment thresholds for various accounts will remain unchanged.

The rebranding of Nutmeg to J.P. Morgan Personal Investing is expected to further grow JPMorgan Chase's presence in the UK consumer finance market. Since the acquisition, Nutmeg's assets under management have more than doubled to £8.5 billion, and its customer base has grown to over 265,000. The new service aims to build on this success, offering customers a wider range of investment options and services.
