Kazakhstan Launches Digital Platform for Sports, Aiming to Streamline Management
The Ministry of Tourism and Sport of the Republic of Kazakhstan is developing the 'Digital Platform of Physical Culture and Sport' (e-Sport). This ambitious project aims to create a unified database of athletes, coaches, referees, and methodologists, and maintain an electronic calendar of sports and mass events.
Currently, 83 federations and 50 organizations are working together on this platform. It will also create a registry of sports facilities and transfer state services to a proactive digital format.
The Committee for Sports and Physical Culture, in collaboration with sports federations and the Akimat, is responsible for operating the functionality of the Digital Platform for Sports, Physical Culture, and e-Sports. Several modules are already in pilot mode, including the electronic passport for athletes, coaches, and referees, the event calendar, and the registry of sports facilities.
The platform will facilitate electronic confirmation of sporting qualifications and membership in sports organizations. The Rules confirm the validity of the title and serve as the basis for restoring the certificate in case of loss. The procedure for awarding sports titles remains unchanged and is regulated by Order No. 300 of July 29, 2014. To restore a lost certificate, a written application should be submitted to the Committee for Sports and Physical Culture.
The 'Digital Platform of Physical Culture and Sport' is set to streamline and modernize the management of sports and physical culture in Kazakhstan. By creating a unified database and facilitating electronic confirmation of qualifications, the platform aims to improve efficiency and accessibility in the sector.
