Ready for something different? Nothing's game-changing over-ear headphones are landing next month!

Skip the smartphones and wireless earbuds, because disruptor brand Nothing is stepping up its game with its first over-ear headphones - launching next month. Spoiler alert: they're working with the renowned British audio brand KEF on this exciting project.

Got your attention? The leaked photos are enough to pique anyone's curiosity. The Equal Leaks Telegram account has been dropping a series of tantalizing renders, while the Nothing Fan Blog Instagram account posted an in-the-wild image that'll have your eyes popping (courtesy of Android Authority).

Taking a closer look, you'll notice the legend 'Sound by KEF' emblazoned on one of the earcups, hinting at their fruitful partnership. With the Nothing Headphone (1) set to be the first product they've collaborated on, it's safe to say you can expect fireworks!

On first glance, the headphones' rectangular ear cups with rounded corners attached to a transparent oval section seem like a dash of retro-futurism. Although, they appear to be a work in progress - think AirPods Max taken back to brick. You can't deny it's a sleek and unique look.

The headphones are expected to cost a reasonable £299 / $309 (approximately AU$630) - undercutting the Sony WH-1000XM6 and Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones. We'll bring you the official details when they're announced on July 1st. After all, nothing's official until it's official!

Let's not forget that Nothing hasn't exactly stolen the show in the headphone space. Its Nothing Ear (2) only scored three stars back in 2023. Here's to hoping the Headphone (1) packs a punch in terms of sound quality!

So, what can we expect from the Nothing Headphone (1)? Insider info suggests they'll boast an unmistakable transparent design, wired and wireless connectivity options, Active Noise Cancellation, physical controls, and multi-point connectivity, all for a competitive price range. Fingers crossed for details on battery life and charging!
