Latest Leak Provides Insight into Possible Release Date for Upcoming Apple iPhone 17
Apple enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the iPhone 17 series, with a predicted launch event scheduled for the week beginning September 8, 2025. According to Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, the keynote event is more likely to take place on Tuesday, September 9, or Wednesday, September 10.
The anticipated on-sale date for the iPhone 17 series is shortly after its launch event, which suggests the iPhone 17 models could go on sale around mid-September 2025. This timeline is consistent with Apple’s typical pattern of unveiling new iPhones in early-to-mid September and releasing them shortly thereafter.
The iPhone 17 series is expected to include four models: the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. Among these, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is predicted to undergo a major design upgrade.
Interestingly, Apple has traditionally preferred Tuesdays for the iPhone launch event, but there have been exceptions. Last year's event was held on a Monday, and this year, the event is expected to take place on either Tuesday or Wednesday.
It's worth noting that the event is not expected to take place during the large-scale electronics trade show IFA in Berlin to avoid sharing the spotlight.
Mark Gurman specifies the time for the iPhone 17 keynote event as 10 a.m. Pacific in the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino. However, no specific day within the week of September 8 has been specified for the event as of yet.
