Lithium Pure Declares Shift in Role of Chief Scientific Officer and Board Member, Professor Donald R. Sadoway, Towards Sadoway Labs Foundation

Professor Donald R. Sadoway, a renowned materials chemist and professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), is stepping down from his role at Pure Lithium Corporation to focus on addressing the climate crisis through innovative energy storage solutions.

Sadoway, well-known for his pioneering work in battery technology, particularly liquid metal batteries, has been a key figure in the development of Pure Lithium's next-generation lithium metal battery technology. The company, a vertically integrated lithium metal battery technology company, is now preparing to enter the commercialization phase of its battery technology.

Pure Lithium Corporation, founded by Sadoway, completed the majority of its development phase in Boston. However, in July, the company announced its plan to move to Chicago to transition from R&D to prototyping and scaling up for commercial production. Emilie Bodoin, the Founder and CEO of Pure Lithium Corporation, will lead the company as it moves towards full commercial production.

Sadoway is immensely proud of the scientific and technical progress made at Pure Lithium. He is dedicating his full-time efforts to the Sadoway Labs Foundation, a Boston-based nonprofit research organization he founded. The Foundation aims to advance breakthrough electrochemical solutions for deep decarbonization. He will continue to work alongside Bodoin as a founding director.

The Sadoway Labs Foundation is not the only initiative focused on advancing extreme electrochemistry. Pure Lithium Corporation's battery platform and underlying technologies are poised for the leap to commercial production. The company's Director, former Massachusetts Governor William F. Weld, looks forward to seeing the positive impact these technologies will have on the world's energy storage needs.

As Sadoway steps down from his full-time role as Chief Scientific Officer and Board Director of Pure Lithium Corporation, he expresses gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to the company's success. Pure Lithium Corporation, in turn, is grateful for Sadoway's role in developing its groundbreaking battery technology.

With Sadoway's focus now on the Sadoway Labs Foundation and Bodoin at the helm of Pure Lithium Corporation, both organizations are poised to make significant strides in the fields of energy storage and sustainable technologies. The future of clean energy is undoubtedly an exciting one, and these two organizations are leading the charge.

Science and technology will continue to play a crucial role in Sadoway's work at the Sadoway Labs Foundation, while finance and business strategy will be key for Pure Lithium Corporation as it enters the commercialization phase of its battery technology, with Emilie Bodoin at the helm. The advancements in extreme electrochemistry from these two organizations will significantly impact the world's energy storage needs and lead the way toward a more sustainable future.
