Local Government in Madagascar Seeks Suppliers for Administrators' Smartphones
The Madagascar Ministry of Digital Transformation and Posts (MNDPT) has announced a public tender for the Digital and Energy Connectivity for Inclusion in Madagascar (DECIM) project, which aims to strengthen digital connectivity in the country. The tender, published on September 10, 2025, is supported by the World Bank.
The procurement calls for the supply of smartphones, power banks, and solar chargers, which will be distributed to Fokontany leaders and Chefs of Administrative Districts (CAA) nationwide. The goal is to equip local administrative officials, particularly in remote areas, with essential technological tools to improve service delivery.
The tender will be divided into three geographical lots, and interested companies can access the full technical specifications, eligibility requirements, and submission procedures on the official DECIM website. Bids for the procurement must be submitted in person at the DECIM Project Coordinating Unit in Antananarivo by November 3, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. local time.
