Luxury Travelers Now Offered Exclusive Credit Card by JAL, Catering to Affluent Clientele
Japan Airlines Introduces Exclusive Luxury Travel Cards for Affluent Customers
Japan Airlines (JAL) has unveiled two new premium credit cards, the JAL Luxury Card and the JAL Luxury Card Limited, catering to affluent customers, particularly business executives with high annual card spending.
These cards, a result of cooperation with Japanese credit card companies Aplus Co. and Black Card I, are not intended for the general public but rather for a specific high-income demographic. The JAL Luxury Card is available by application for JAL Mileage Bank members over 20 years old, with an annual fee of 242,000 yen. On the other hand, the JAL Luxury Card Limited is invitation-only, with a higher annual fee of 599,500 yen.
The JAL Luxury Card offers a miles earning rate of 1.25 miles per 100 yen spent, while the Limited version awards 1.5 miles per 100 yen spent. Cardholders of the JAL Luxury Card will earn at least 1.25% in frequent flier mileage returns.
In addition to miles earning, the cards provide a range of exclusive services and benefits. Luxury Card holders receive JMB Crystal status, while Limited cardholders receive JMB Sapphire status. The Limited card also provides 50,000 FLY ON points, which enhance elite status qualification.
Lounge access is another key feature. The JAL Luxury Card grants 5 Sakura Lounge electronic coupons annually. The cards' status levels come with lounge privileges during travel.
Other exclusive services offered by the JAL Luxury Card include a 24-hour concierge service, which can book restaurants overseas, a limousine shuttle service, and access to exclusive exchange events. The cards' Limited version offers even more extensive concierge and luxury lifestyle services.
Moreover, both cards include overseas travel insurance automatically, with optional domestic travel insurance based on usage. Cardholders may add up to four family cards at no extra charge, and the ETC (Electronic Toll Collection) card is free.
The cards are made of metal, featuring elegant design elements such as the JAL emblem and deep red coloring for the Limited version, emphasizing their premium brand and status appeal.
In summary, the JAL Luxury Card and its Limited version combine earning potential, elevated JAL frequent flyer status, VIP lounge access, extensive concierge and luxury lifestyle services, and comprehensive travel insurance, positioning them as premium options for travelers seeking both luxury and enhanced mileage benefits with Japan Airlines.
