Gamescom Kicks Off in Cologne with a Plethora of Exciting Announcements
The Gamescom, a renowned computer and video game fair, has officially begun in Cologne, Germany, attracting over 1,500 exhibitors from around the globe. Among the participating companies are CI Games, Keen Games, Bethesda, and Nintendo, to name a few.

One of the highly anticipated previews was for "World of Warcraft - Midnight," an end-time battle between elves and brutal creatures. The horror classic "Resident Evil" is also making a comeback in the form of a remake titled "Requiem," where players will engage in a survival battle against the undead.
Nintendo is promoting its upcoming console, the Switch 2, at the Gamescom. Meanwhile, the shooter game "Call of Duty - Black Ops 7" was previewed, featuring a team of up to four players battling in an apocalyptic future.
The second season of the post-apocalyptic action series "Fallout," originally a video game, has now been adapted for television. Ella Purnell and Aaron Moten, producers and main actors of "Fallout," were present at the opening show. The trailer for the second season evokes a sense of nostalgia with its retro look, reminiscent of gaming 30 years ago.
Ron Gilbert, the designer behind the successful "Monkey Island" series from the 90s, is back with a new roguelike game called "Death By Scrolling." Scheduled for early 2026, this game promises to recall the style of the classic "Monkey Island" games.
In the realm of vampires, "Bloodlines 2" was showcased at the Gamescom. Amazon Prime also unveiled the second season of their post-apocalyptic action series "Fallout."
Streaming services like Netflix, Disney+, and Paramount+ are making a strong presence at the Gamescom, indicating a growing convergence of the gaming and streaming industries. Professionals and fans can try out the new games at the Gamescom, ensuring an immersive and interactive experience.
