The European Beekeeping Association (EBA) has recently made some significant announcements regarding its membership and future goals. In a statement, President Mr. Boštjan Noč revealed that the organization aims to become the union of all European beekeepers.

One of the most notable changes is the exemption from membership fees for 2024 and 2025. National beekeeping associations joining the EBA by October 1st, 2024, will benefit from this offer. Additionally, those who have already joined the EBA by June 17, 2024, are eligible for free membership in 2024 and 2025.

However, national beekeeping associations joining after October 1st, 2024, will be obliged to pay the membership fee in accordance with Article 14.1 of the website Statute. The President himself will work without compensation for the next two years.

In case of no results, the President will resign without delay. This decision underscores the commitment to achieving the organization's goals within the specified timeframe.

The Executive Board of the EBA will hold meetings online or via group chats to minimize expenses. In the absence of a national beekeeping association in a country, the two largest beekeeping associations with the most beekeepers will be exempted from paying the membership fee if they join the EBA by October 1st, 2024.

Travel expenses for the President of the EBA will be covered by the meeting organizer, and he will receive a fee of 500 euros if invited. The President expects to produce results that will reflect positively on the EBA by 2026.

Despite extensive research, no publicly available information confirms any free membership conditions for the EBA beyond the stated offers. For precise details, contacting the EBA directly or consulting their official website would be necessary.
