Microsoft Introduces 5G-Enabled Surface Laptop Powered by Intel Core Ultra - Business Line Will Soon Distribute Laptop Models
In a significant leap forward for mobile computing, Microsoft has unveiled the Surface Laptop 5G, a device that promises to revolutionize the way we work and connect.
The Surface Laptop 5G is equipped with Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processors, ensuring smooth and efficient performance. To enhance its connectivity capabilities, the laptop features a built-in 5G modem, supported through a NanoSIM slot or eSIM. This allows the device to tap into the ultra-fast 5G network, providing lightning-fast speeds and low latency.
Microsoft has also developed a new antenna material for the Surface Laptop 5G. The device boasts a dynamic antenna system made of six antennas, designed to reduce the chance of being blocked by tables or legs. This innovative system is designed to ensure seamless transition between Wi-Fi and cellular networks, and it also acts as a mobile hotspot, allowing you to share your connection with other devices.
The Surface Laptop 5G sports a 13.8-inch PixelSense Flow touchscreen with a resolution of 2304 x 1536 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 3:2 aspect ratio. It comes with Intel integrated graphics and can be configured with 16GB or 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Storage options include 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB removable SSD.
The laptop also features a Full HD Surface Studio camera with AI features, a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) capable of over 40 trillion operations per second, and a slim metal chassis available in Platinum Silver and Black colour options. Microsoft claims all-day battery life with fast charging support.
Pricing and Variants
The Surface Laptop 5G will be available from August 26, 2025, starting at $1,799.99 for the base model with Intel Core Ultra 5, 16GB RAM, and 256GB SSD. The high-end model, priced at $2,699.99, comes with Intel Core Ultra 7, 32GB RAM, and 1TB SSD.
An optional 15-inch model with 5G and a smart card reader is also available, but details can be obtained by contacting sales.
