Modernization of Power Utility Network in EMEA Region Granted to Ceragon, Worth $8 Million

Ceragon Secures Large-Scale Partnership with EMEA Power Utility

Ceragon Technologies, a leading provider of end-to-end wireless connectivity solutions, has entered into a significant multi-phase partnership with a prominent power utility in the EMEA region. This partnership aims to modernize and scale a private communications network, with an estimated total revenue of around $8 million for Ceragon.

The project, which commenced at the beginning of 2025, is focused on replacing end-of-life communication systems and meeting increasing capacity demands. To achieve this, Ceragon's high-power microwave radios, including full indoor and split-mount models, will be deployed. These advanced radios are designed to deliver resilient, high-capacity connectivity optimized for diverse operational environments, including substations and long-haul utility routes.

The project is divided into several phases:

  1. Phase one: Currently being delivered throughout 2025, this phase focuses on the initial deployment of advanced microwave solutions for the nationwide backbone network.
  2. Subsequent upgrades: Planned for completion by the end of 2025, these additional phases are expected based on the project's success.

Financially, Ceragon has received orders worth about 75% of the project’s value and recognized approximately 50% of the expected revenue in the first half of 2025. The remaining orders and revenue are expected to be closed by year-end 2025.

The selection of Ceragon's solutions was the result of a thorough technical assessment by a regional solutions provider representing the utility. This evaluation compared offerings from competing global vendors, and Ceragon was chosen due to its exceptional technical capabilities, transparency, and reliability—crucial factors for mission-critical systems managing SCADA, voice, and protection traffic required by power utilities.

With this partnership, the utility will be able to meet its ambitious operational goals while ensuring robust network performance and future-readiness with Ceragon's technology. The project also positions Ceragon to win subsequent phases in the following years, building on the initial success.
