Modine Unveils New Chennai Facility for Asia-Pacific Data Centre Cooling

Modine Manufacturing, a leading US-based provider of thermal management solutions, has marked a significant milestone in its global expansion with the unveiling of a new production site in Chennai, India. The facility, announced in January 2025, is set to address the growing demand for data centre news solutions across the Asia-Pacific region.

Spanning an impressive 9,290 square meters, the new site will produce data centre news equipment under the 'Airedale by Modine' brand, as well as cooling modules for stationary power generation equipment. This is Modine's second facility in India, following the establishment of Modine Thermal Systems India in 2007. Eric McGinnis, president of Climate Solutions at Modine, hailed the new site as a significant step in the company's global growth strategy.

Modine's expansion is part of a broader investment strategy. In 2024, the company announced expansions in Calgary, Canada, and Bradford, UK, and recently revealed a $100 million expansion of its US manufacturing capacity.

Under the leadership of Neil Brinker as CEO, and with Jeremy Patten appointed as President of its Performance Technologies segment effective September 29, 2025, Modine continues to strengthen its global footprint. The new Chennai facility is expected to play a pivotal role in meeting the increasing demand for data centre news solutions in the Asia-Pacific region.
