Multisensor Perimeter Camera by Dallmeier Panomera S4
New Panomera® S4 Perimeter Camera Revolutionizes Perimeter Surveillance
Dallmeier, a leading provider of professional video surveillance solutions based in Regensburg, Germany, has introduced the Panomera® S4 Perimeter camera. This innovative device is designed to redefine high-security perimeter surveillance, offering an ultra-high resolution of 200 effective megapixels (MPe) per camera.
The Panomera® S4 Perimeter's multi-sensor optical unit integrates four sensors, enabling broad area coverage with exceptional spatial resolution. This combination allows for the simultaneous overview and detailed inspection without sacrificing image quality, a critical aspect for identifying potential security breaches at a distance.
One of the key benefits of the Panomera® S4 Perimeter is its efficiency. By reducing the need for multiple overlapping cameras, it simplifies system configuration and can lower overall infrastructure costs. This makes it particularly beneficial for operators of critical infrastructures and organizations affected by NIS-2 and other CRITIS directives.
The Panomera® S4 Perimeter is designed to effectively monitor narrow strips along fences, buildings, or roads, often referred to as "sterile zones". Its special perimeter geometry minimizes blind spots and avoids capturing uninteresting areas beyond the fence, providing a privacy benefit.
The camera's AI object classification system, specially trained for perimeter requirements, enables it to detect the upper body of a standing person from a distance of as little as 4 metres. It can reliably recognize people with unusual body postures, slow or fast movements, and people wearing camouflage.
To further enhance its performance, the Panomera® S4 Perimeter utilizes a combination of perimeter AI and AI tamper detection. The advanced AI tamper detection application reliably detects tampering attempts, including those using laser pointers, flashlights, strobe lights, pyrotechnics like smoke grenades or smoke pots, and classic methods such as twisting, defocusing, spray-painting, and covering the camera or IR illumination.
In addition, Dallmeier has introduced JamAlert, a detection device designed to combat the growing threat of illegal cellular signal jammers, ensuring the security of cellular systems.
Thomas Reisinger, CTO of Dallmeier electronic, states that the Panomera® S4 Perimeter sets a new standard in perimeter protection, requiring only a single system every 200 metres compared to several cameras and complex infrastructure in the past. With its outstanding low-light performance, dynamic range of 130dB, and ability to accurately capture details at distances of up to 200 metres even in difficult lighting conditions, the Panomera® S4 Perimeter promises to reduce infrastructure, system, and personnel costs compared to other perimeter surveillance systems.
The Panomera® S4 Perimeter Camera, a product from Dallmeier, leverages advanced technology such as data-and-cloud-computing, artificial-intelligence, and multi-sensor optical units to revolutionize perimeter surveillance. Its AI object classification system enables it to detect potential security breaches, even from a distance, by identifying the upper body of a standing person, people with unusual body postures, slow or fast movements, and people wearing camouflage. This technology-driven solution can significantly reduce infrastructure, system, and personnel costs, making it beneficial for operators of critical infrastructures and organizations subject to NIS-2 and other CRITIS directives.
