Munich Airport Drone Disruptions Ground Thousands Again

Munich Airport faced another day of disruption due to drone sightings, affecting thousands of passengers. This comes amidst broader European worries about drone activity.

On Friday, Munich Airport suspended all flights following multiple drone sightings. Around 6,500 passengers were impacted, with 23 incoming flights diverted, 12 cancelled, and 46 departures either cancelled or delayed.

This incident marked the second consecutive day of disruption, following a similar event on Thursday. Then, 17 departures were grounded and 15 incoming flights were diverted before services resumed on Friday. The identity of those behind these drone incidents remains unknown.

Munich Airport's operations were severely disrupted for a second day due to drone sightings, affecting thousands of passengers. The cause of these incidents is still under investigation.
