National Painting Competition Announced by Maxilite by Dulux for Participating Artisans Nationwide

Key Features of the Competition
The Maxilite - Golden Roller contest is packed with exciting features. Participants can showcase their creativity and craftsmanship by producing videos that highlight the outstanding coverage ability of Maxilite Che Phu Hieu Qua by Dulux Interior.
The competition offers hundreds of exciting weekly prizes, with a total prize pool exceeding VND200 million ($7,644). The top three finalists each receive a cash prize of VND 30 million (approximately $1,146 USD), a trophy, and the prestigious “Golden Roller” award, symbolizing the highest achievement in the contest.
The event appears to be part of Maxilite’s broader strategy to engage with the painter community and elevate industry standards. It also coincides with product launches aimed at optimizing customer experience, indicating a synergy between the contest and market outreach efforts.
Community Initiatives
In its first season, inspired by the "Vietnam Favourite Colour" collection, Maxilite by Dulux donated nearly 10,000 litres of paint to renovate over 20,000 square metres and complete 10 murals at underprivileged schools across Vietnam. The competition is also part of Maxilite’s broader strategy to engage with the painter community and elevate industry standards.
The "Paint the Future" community campaign, initiated by Maxilite by Dulux on August 14, includes a series of activities to renovate learning spaces in schools nationwide. The grand champion of the contest will have the opportunity to accompany Maxilite by Dulux in various media activities and repaint underprivileged schools across the country.
Competition Structure
The competition is held online and consists of two official rounds. In Round 1, themed "A day at work with Maxilite", participants are invited to creatively share short videos capturing their work routines or impressions of Maxilite by Dulux. The top 20 finalists will advance to round two, themed "Show your skills with Maxilite", from August 22-September 5.
Fostering a Lasting Bond
Entering its second season, the programme is aiming to foster a lasting bond between the brand, painters, and the community through tangible and meaningful actions. Nguyen Phi Anh Dao, marketing and product management director of AkzoNobel ASEAN, shared that the competition aims to foster a generation of painters who are not just experts in their field but also take pride in their role in building a better community.
