New & Updated Shotguns: Winchester, TriStar, Mossberg, Browning & More
Gun enthusiasts, take note! Several notable shotgun models have been introduced or updated, offering a range of features and designs to cater to various preferences and needs.
Kicking off the updates is Winchester with their SXP Extreme Defender, now available in a woodland camouflage finish with a feature-rich Woodland FDE model. This 12-ga shotgun boasts an 18" barrel, 3" chamber, and a breacher-type Inertia System. Meanwhile, TriStar has revamped their Raptor II, now gas-operated and available in 12- and 20-ga with synthetic furniture, walnut, or Mossy Oak camouflage, and oversized controls for ease of use.
Mossberg has upgraded their 590-series with the 590R, featuring a rotary selector similar to the AR-15, a comfortable fore-end, adjustable buttstock, and Magpul MBUS3 sights. It comes with an 18.5" barrel, 3" chamber, and a capacity for 6+1 rounds. Browning's Citori 825 Field, an evolution of John Browning's Superposed, now sports a low-profile steel receiver, a new Fire Lite 2 trigger system, and a silver nitride finish with game-scene engraving. It's relegated to 12 gauge with 28" or 26" polished and blued barrels, and features Grade II/III walnut with a glossy oiled finish.
Spandau Arms has introduced the S2 Wood Field, a 20 gauge semi-automatic shotgun with an inertia-operated action, aluminum receiver, 28" barrel, and ventilated sighting rib with fiber optic sight. Benelli's Nova 3 Pump has been completely reworked, now featuring a monolithic receiver and buttstock, a 14 percent shorter stroke cycle, and improved ergonomics. It comes with an enlarged ejection port and loading port, and is available in 12 gauge with 3" chamber, various finishes, and 26" or 28" barrels.
