Organization Confirms Collaboration with a Second Automobile Maker

Sono Group N.V., a pioneering solar technology company, is expanding its presence in the automotive industry, targeting a wide range of vehicle categories including passenger vehicles, buses, refrigerated vehicles, and recreational vehicles. This strategic move is aimed at revolutionising mobility and promoting climate-friendly practices.

Sono Group's solar technology has been engineered to be applicable across multiple industries, offering benefits such as extending range, reducing fuel costs, and lessening CO2 emissions. The company has secured a purchase order from a second passenger car manufacturer, one of the 10 largest in the world, for delivery of solar body panels to explore solar integration into their cars. This is the second such order for Sono Group, following an announcement in December 2022.

Sono Group is currently working as a development partner or supplier with customers in Europe and the United States. Notable clients include CHEREAU, Kögel, and Volkswagen subsidiary Scania. The focus of Sono Group is specifically on retrofitting and integrating its solar technology onto third-party vehicles in the mentioned industries.
