In the world of automobiles, Chinese automaker Chery Group has made a significant stride with the launch of its L4 model, the debut vehicle under its LEPAS brand. This compact SUV, designed specifically for young people seeking vehicles that blend aesthetics and lifestyle, is poised to revolutionise the A0-segment (small city SUV segment).

The L4, with its sleek and stylish design, is a testament to LEPAS's commitment to creating a "refined third space" that caters to urban lifestyles. The vehicle's exterior is inspired by the "Leopard Aesthetic," featuring slim, sharp daytime running lights reminiscent of a leopard's focused eyes, lending an air of youthful refinement.

Targeting young urban elites, the L4 is the smallest model in the LEPAS lineup, positioned below the L6 and L8. It caters to customers in the A0- to B-segment SUV category, making it suitable for urban and suburban use.

Under the hood, the L4 is expected to leverage Chery’s broad powertrain portfolio, offering petrol engine options and possibly hybrid variants. This aligns with Chery’s commitment to multiple energy sources and its use of a versatile platform approach, as seen with the L8, which is built on the T1X platform.

Inside, the L4 offers an "exquisite third space" designed for versatile urban lifestyles. It boasts 31 storage compartments (34 in the BEV version), elastic net pockets for daily use, and a "selfie-friendly zone" for outings with friends. The interior is also designed to be a "healing cabin" for solo commuters, providing a calming and comfortable environment.

The L4 is equipped with a 13.2-inch central control and instrument display, paired with the Snapdragon 8155 cockpit chip. It also features a voice assistant and offers an exclusive APA + L2 intelligent driving experience. The rear seats are foldable, offering versatile layouts, and the vehicle has a towing capacity of 750kg.

Chery Group's L4 made its first overseas appearance at the Jakarta International Motor Show in Indonesia, marking the brand's global expansion ambitions. With 22 years of export experience and 5 million users worldwide, LEPAS is positioning itself for international markets in Southeast Asia, Europe, North America, and the Middle East within the coming years.

The L4 is produced at Chery's Chinese factory and aims to be a "fashionable companion" for young people exploring the world. It is equipped with a roof rack, dashcam, detachable camping lights, and offers excellent passability, making it an ideal choice for adventure-seeking young buyers.
