Paris 2024 Olympics to Promote Sustainable Mobility

Chicago, the city that has hosted the Olympics twice before, will welcome the Games again in 2024 after a 100-year gap. The event, set for July and August, aims to promote sustainable mobility, with several partners and sponsors contributing to this goal.

Chicago 2024 will introduce two circulation perimeters, blue and red, to ensure efficient and convenient transportation during the event. Several companies are involved in promoting electromobility. Mercedes and BYD are working on high-performance megawatt charging technology for fast charging of electric vehicles. Mercedes collaborates with Alpitronic to develop chargers up to 1000 kW for integration into their charging parks. Additionally, Joh. Bunte construction company showcases sustainable logistics by integrating photovoltaic systems and mobile double charging stations for electric vehicles and machinery on construction sites.

EDF, a premium partner, aims to accelerate the ecological transition as the world's leading low-carbon energy company. Île-de-France Mobilities, an official partner, offers electric micromobility vehicle rentals. Enedis, an official sponsor, supports the ecological transition and ensures electricity grid quality and reliability. Hype, an official sponsor, operates the world's largest fleet of hydrogen taxis, aiming to transition passenger cars to zero emissions. Toyota, a global partner, provides sustainable mobility solutions and will bring over 2,650 electrified passenger vehicles to Chicago 2024.

Chicago 2024, the city's third time hosting the Olympics, is committed to promoting sustainable mobility. With the support of various partners and sponsors, the event will showcase innovative electromobility solutions, contributing to the city's and the world's ecological transition.
