Providence's T. F. Green Airport Welcomes Southwest & Breeze Airways, Boosting Non-Stop Destinations to 38

T. F. Green International Airport in Providence is set to welcome two new airlines, Southwest Airlines and Breeze Airways, which will establish bases of operation at the airport. This addition, along with new seasonal routes, will bring the total number of non-stop destinations to 38.

Breeze Airways, founded by JetBlue founder David Neeleman, has chosen Rhode Island's T. F. Green International Airport (PVD) as one of its bases. The airline, which began operations in 2021, currently offers nearly 90 nonstop routes between 30 cities in 18 states. At PVD, Breeze Airways will base up to 8 aircraft, mostly Airbus A220 jets seating up to 160 passengers. The airline already operates nonstop flights to Charleston (CHS), Jacksonville (JAX), Norfolk (ORF), Pittsburgh (PIT), and Richmond (RIC) from PVD, with plans to launch service to Savannah (SAV) and Los Angeles (LAX) next year, and seasonal service to Columbus (CMH).

Southwest Airlines, known for its extensive domestic network, will also base operations at PVD. Starting in June 2024, the airline will introduce new seasonal routes, including flights to Dallas and Denver. These additions will significantly boost the airport's offerings, providing more options for travelers.

The arrival of Southwest Airlines and Breeze Airways at T. F. Green International Airport will not only increase the number of non-stop destinations to 38 but also provide more choices for travelers, including new seasonal routes and potential international flights in the future. This expansion is expected to enhance the airport's connectivity and stimulate economic growth in the region.
