Quantron AG & Ford Trucks Partner for Zero-Emission Fuel Cell Heavy-Duty Trucks by 2040

Quantron AG, a leader in sustainable transport solutions, has partnered with Ford Trucks to enhance its innovative position. The collaboration, sealed with a Letter of Intent, aims to develop hydrogen fuel cell-powered heavy-duty trucks and achieve zero emissions by 2040.

Michael Perschke, CEO of Quantron AG, announced the partnership, stating it strengthens Quantron's lead in sustainable transport. The focus is on developing trucks based on the Ford F-Max platform, using fuel cell technology to power heavy-duty vehicles.

Ford Trucks, aiming for zero emissions by 2040, is excited about the collaboration. Emrah Duman, leader of Ford Trucks, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership. Rene Wollmann, CTO of Quantron AG, believes it will significantly contribute to the market introduction of fuel cell-electric commercial vehicles.

The initial phase, starting in Q1 2024, will adapt Ford's trucks to comply with the latest safety and environmental regulations. Quantron will bring its 'Quantron Inside' technology, including an effective range, innovative e-axle, high-power battery customization, fuel cell and tank integration, advanced energy management, and optimized aerodynamics.

Quantron AG and Ford Trucks have joined forces to develop hydrogen fuel cell-powered heavy-duty trucks. The partnership aims to fast-track emission-free transport solutions, meeting modern commercial transportation demands. The first phase begins in Q1 2024, with the goal of achieving zero emissions in heavy commercial vehicle production by 2040.
