R&S unveils high-frequency models extending to 54 GHz for the R&S ZNB3000 Vector Network Analyzer
The tech industry is gearing up for the next generation of high-speed connectivity, and Rohde & Schwarz is leading the charge with the introduction of new high-frequency models of its R&S ZNB3000 vector network analyzer. At the upcoming European Microwave Week (EuMW) 2025, Rohde & Schwarz will showcase the 54 GHz instrument of the R&S ZNB3000 family at booth A026 in Jaarbeurs Utrecht from September 23 to 25, 2025. Visitors will have the opportunity to witness this cutting-edge technology firsthand. The R&S ZNB3000 family is designed to meet the requirements of high-speed Ethernet (IEEE 802.3ck) and the new PCIe 7.0, operating at frequencies up to 54 GHz. This makes it an ideal tool for precise characterization of high-speed PCBs, cables, and interconnects, particularly in AI data centers where ultra-fast, high-bandwidth interconnects are crucial. The R&S ZNB3000 family retains the series' characteristic features, including ultra-fast measurement speed, low start frequency, flexible frequency upgrade concept, high dynamic range, and low trace noise. With a low start frequency of 9 kHz, the R&S ZNB3000 enables precise time-domain analysis for signal integrity and high-speed testing. Its low trace noise of less than 0.0015 dB RMS ensures highly accurate measurements, even at higher frequencies. Moreover, the R&S ZNB3000 family offers a high dynamic range of up to 150 dB, maximizing throughput and reducing the cost of testing. It also supports advanced RF component testing for SatCom applications in the Ka and V bands, including filters, mixers, amplifiers, switches, and beamformers. The R&S ZNB3000 family is suitable for RF component testing for 5G, 6G, and Wi-Fi applications, as well as next-generation RF component testing for satellite communications in the Ka band and V band. At EuMW 2025, Rohde & Schwarz will demonstrate the new 54 GHz model of the R&S ZNB3000, showcasing how to ensure the reliability of high-speed interconnects for AI-driven workloads. The new high-frequency models of the R&S ZNB3000 will be available by the end of 2025, with frequencies of 32 GHz, 43.5 GHz, and 54 GHz. Rohde & Schwarz will make the 54 GHz models available in early 2026. The R&S ZNB3000 vector network analyzer from Rohde & Schwarz is designed for high-performance RF applications and signal integrity testing. Its flexible frequency upgrade concept allows customers to start with a base unit and expand the maximum frequency later by purchasing upgrade options, offering industry-leading performance and flexibility in high-speed interconnect testing. AI applications in data centers demand ultra-fast, high-bandwidth interconnects, and the new PCIe 7.0 requires testing at higher frequencies. The R&S ZNB3000 is poised to meet these demands, offering an ultra-fast measurement speed that maximizes throughput and reduces the cost of testing. The demonstration at EuMW 2025 will include a PCIe cable as the device under test (DUT), providing a practical demonstration of the R&S ZNB3000's capabilities. In summary, the R&S ZNB3000 family from Rohde & Schwarz is a powerful tool for high-speed interconnect testing, RF component testing for various applications, and ensuring the reliability of high-speed interconnects for AI-driven workloads. The new 54 GHz models are set to revolutionize the industry, offering unparalleled performance and flexibility.
