Real Estate Operating System Construction Funded with Pre-Seed Capital, Headed by Former Goldman MD and JPMorgan Crypto Leader

Arda, an innovative tech startup developing a unified operating system tailored to the real estate sector, has secured $3 million in pre-seed funding. The investment came from Lightshift, a venture firm that supports digital infrastructure and programmable asset projects.

The funding will bolster Arda's mission to streamline the vast, $380 trillion real estate market by modernizing its fragmented and opaque infrastructure. Arda's groundbreaking platform aims to digitize real estate assets, data, and financial services, enhancing transparency and transaction speeds while reducing administrative burdens.

The Fusion of Real Estate and Digital Infrastructure

Arda's pioneering platform incorporates a programmable execution layer for real estate assets, blending digital rights management, AI-driven automation, and seamless data interoperability. Key components of the system include:

  • Digital Asset Profiles: A comprehensive, immutable history of properties to expedite due diligence.
  • Real-Time Money Movement: Payments synchronized with transactions for improved settlement speed.
  • Integrated Data and Automation: Automated workflows minimizing administrative friction in asset management.

Leadership with a Foundation in Finance and Technology

Arda was established by Oli Harris, who previously served as the Managing Director of Digital Assets at Goldman Sachs and Head of Crypto Assets Strategy at JPMorgan Chase. Harris' extensive background includes instrumental roles in the development and commercialization of Quorum, an enterprise Ethereum platform, and contributing to the adoption of institutional digital assets.

"Real estate remains a sizable asset class dogged by operational inefficiencies," said Harris, CEO and Founder of Arda. "By creating a programmable, trust-based system, we aim to merge real estate transactions with modern digital financial infrastructure."

An Evolving Real Estate Market

The burgeoning institutional interest in digital assets and the efforts of governments and industry leaders to establish secure, verifiable digital property transactions signify a growing trend towards digitization in real estate. Regions like the Gulf are setting the pace for adoption, while U.S. policymakers are shaping regulations to integrate digital assets into traditional financial systems.

"We invest in founders building the foundation of next-generation industries," commented Simao Cruz, Founding Partner of Lightshift. "Arda is developing purpose-built infrastructure with the potential to redefine the landscape of real estate ownership, transactions, and financing."
