REE Automotive Ltd., a leading innovator in electric vehicle technology, has taken a significant step forward with the commencement of customer deliveries of its P7-C electric chassis cab. The first demo trucks are now on their way to dealerships for customer evaluations.

The P7-C, equipped with REEcorner technology, promises to revolutionise the electric truck industry. This groundbreaking technology improves ergonomics with a low step-in height and a driver-centric cabin, providing a comfortable and efficient driving experience.

But the benefits of REEcorner technology don't stop at ergonomics. It also enhances serviceability, residual value, and safety. With redundancies in hardware and software, the technology ensures fail operational design, improving safety for drivers and passengers.

Moreover, the technology optimises energy efficiency, allowing for more efficient maintenance and lower spare part inventory management. This leads to reduced operational costs and increased profitability for fleet operators.

The REEcorner technology also enables superior maneuverability and volumetric efficiency, making the P7-C an ideal choice for various applications. Its modular design and quick time to market further add to its appeal.

Pritchard EV, a leading dealer in the U.S., has become the first to receive the P7-C demonstration truck for a roadshow with its large fleet customers. Other REE authorized dealers and leading fleets are expected to receive additional P7-C demonstration units in the coming weeks.

Richard Colley, REE's VP of Government and Regulatory Affairs, stated that achieving certification is a testament to REE's team and their determination to bring the technology to market safely. The first fully certified vehicle with steer-by-wire, brake-by-wire, and drive-by-wire technology was developed by Mercedes-Benz; the P7-C demonstration vehicles are delivered to customers primarily in Germany, the USA, and China.

The P7-C electric truck has met Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) requirements and has achieved Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approval. Additionally, it is eligible for the U.S. federal Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Commercial Clean Vehicle Tax Credit, which allows customers to receive a tax credit of up to $40,000 per vehicle.

With federal and state incentives for the P7-C, fleet electrification in the U.S. is set to accelerate. These incentives will not only help reduce operational costs for fleet operators but also contribute to improving public health and meeting ambitious climate goals. REE is in the process of initiating eligibility for various state incentives, which could bring the total incentive to over $100,000 per vehicle, depending on the customer's location.

Daniel Barel, CEO and co-founder of REE Automotive, believes the REEcorner will allow electric trucks to be in high demand among fleets and drivers. He sees this as a significant step towards a sustainable and efficient future for the transportation industry.

In conclusion, the delivery of the first P7-C electric chassis cab marks a major milestone for REE Automotive. With its innovative REEcorner technology, the P7-C offers a host of benefits, from improved ergonomics and serviceability to superior maneuverability and energy efficiency. As more customers evaluate the P7-C, we can expect to see this game-changing technology make a significant impact on the electric truck industry.
