Refreshed Chery Tiggo 4 with revamped design and name change revealed
Chery Tiggo 4 Receives Facelift and Modern Updates
The Chery Tiggo 4, a popular small SUV, has undergone a facelift, unveiled in April 2024. The updated model, now simply called Tiggo 4, brings a fresh look and enhanced technology to the table, aiming to boost its appeal in export markets.
The new design includes a redesigned front and rear fascia, inspired by the second-generation Tiggo 7 sport utility vehicle. The headlight units have been updated, mirroring those from the second-generation Tiggo 7. The vehicle's side profile is refreshed with an updated C-pillar decoration. The interior boasts a new dashboard design, first introduced on the Tiggo 4 Pro in Russia earlier this year.
In terms of technology, the entry-level Urban model offers dual 10.25-inch LCD screens, dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 'Hello Chery' voice control, a six-speaker sound system, seven airbags, and active safety features like AEB, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and lane keeping assistance. The top-spec Ultimate model adds a 15W wireless phone charger, a 360-degree surround view camera, artificial leather upholstery, a six-way electric driver's seat, and color-selectable ambient lighting.
Under the hood, the Tiggo 4 continues to use a turbocharged 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, producing 108kW of power and 210Nm of torque. The vehicle is mated to a CVT automatic transmission and has a claimed fuel consumption of 7.4L/100km, which remains unchanged in the updated model.
The Tiggo 4 retains its value-packed pricepoint, with the Urban model priced at $23,990 (drive away), and the Ultimate model at $26,990 (drive away). The former 'Pro' part of the name has been dropped, reflecting the model's evolution.
The updated Tiggo 4 comes with new wheel designs, with 17-inch wheels on the base Urban and 18-inch wheels on the top-spec Ultimate. The new design also includes a new tail light design and an LED light bar at the rear end.
The facelifted Tiggo 4 will be available in local dealers later this month, with local deliveries to commence soon. The vehicle is covered by a seven-year/unlimited km warranty, seven years of capped price servicing, and up to seven years of roadside assistance.
