Romanian-speaking viewers in Romania and Moldova now have access to ARTE.tv's localized platform
In a significant move, ARTE.tv, a leading European public streaming platform, has launched its Romanian version, making its vast array of documentaries, series, news programs, concerts, and films accessible to viewers in Romania and the Republic of Moldova. The new platform, available at [arte.tv/ro](http://arte.tv/ro), offers content in Romanian subtitles or voice-over.
The launch, which took place on July 7, 2025, marks an exciting expansion for ARTE.tv, which already offers content in six other languages: French, German, English, Spanish, Italian, and Polish. With the addition of Romanian, ARTE.tv becomes accessible in the native language of 75% of European citizens.
Currently, the platform hosts a variety of intriguing titles. These include the captivating documentary "Ikea: The Tree Hunter", the live performance of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, the Iranian series "Happiness", and the insightful "How Volodymyr became Zelensky". Future releases are planned to include "Gucci", "Luxury", and "Lust & Drama".
ARTE.tv also features weekly news formats related to Central and Eastern Europe, providing viewers with up-to-date information about their region, including topics about Romania and Moldova.
One of the standout features of ARTE.tv is its user-friendly interface. Users can create a free MyARTE account to resume playback across devices and download programs for offline viewing. Remarkably, the service is free and does not require registration, according to its representatives.
All content on ARTE.tv is available across Europe, including in Romania and Moldova, through web browsers, social media platforms, mobile apps on App Store, and Google Play. As ARTE.tv plans to offer around 400 programs in Romanian by the end of 2025, viewers can look forward to a wealth of engaging content in the coming months.
