Russian Railways Adds 26 'Lastochka' Trains to Ease Sochi Congestion
Russian Railways (RZD) has launched 26 additional 'Lastochka' electric trains on the 'Sochi - Imeretinsky Resort' route. This move aims to ease congestion on Greater Sochi's transport infrastructure, a joint effort involving the regional administration, the Ministry of Transport, the carrier, and JSC 'RZD'.
The new trains operate daily, departing from Sochi and stopping at key stations including Matsesta, Host, and Adler. They also serve the Scientific Park and Imeretinsky Resort, significantly improving connectivity in the area.
The successful implementation of this project is a testament to the collaborative efforts of all involved parties. Russian Railways, as the operator, played a pivotal role alongside the regional administration, the Ministry of Transport, the carrier, and JSC 'RZD'.
