Schaeffler COO Andreas Schick Steps Down Amid Vitesco Merger

Schaeffler AG, the global automotive and industrial supplier, has announced a significant leadership change. Andreas Schick, the company's Chief Operating Officer, will not renew his contract due to personal reasons. His departure comes during the critical integration phase of the Vitesco Technologies merge. Schick, who has been with Schaeffler for over three decades, has played a pivotal role in shaping the company. He was instrumental in developing Schaeffler's humanoid activities and drove operational excellence across various departments. Schick also oversaw group-wide sustainability and digitalization initiatives.

Following Schick's decision, Claus Bauer will lead the integration phase of the Schaeffler and Vitesco Technologies merge until August 2025. Schaeffler aims to become the leading motion technology company through this combine, with 112,858 employees worldwide and a net debt of 5.255 billion euros, and a debt-to-EBITDA ratio of 2.4.

Andreas Schick's contract expires on March 31, 2026. His departure comes as Schaeffler navigates a crucial period in its history. The company remains committed to its strategic goals and is confident in Bauer's leadership during this transition.
