Seiko Introduces Limited-Edition Datsun-Edition Prospex Speedtimers
Seiko, a renowned name in watchmaking, is set to release a new addition to its Prospex Speedtimer series. The Datsun-edition models pay tribute to the historic partnership between Seiko and Datsun (now Nissan), and celebrate Seiko's horological innovation and deep-rooted motorsport heritage.
The SPB517, a mechanical three-hand model, is one of the three limited edition Prospex Speedtimers set to be released. It is limited to 2,500 pieces and features pops of color in the dial, including red, blue, and white from the Datsun logo, as well as throughout the bezel and handset. The watch is water resistant to 200m and is powered by the Seiko cal. 6R66 automatic movement, which offers a 72-hour power reserve.
The SPB517 is not alone in this release. Three additional Speedimer models without branding will also be released. The new Seiko watches are set to release in September, and the SPB517 is priced at $1,150.
