Senegal's Digital Revolution: Major Events in Q4 2025
Senegal is set to host a series of major digital and innovation events in the fourth quarter of 2025. The Government has signed partnerships to support these initiatives, which aim to boost the country's tech sector and attract global attention.
Kicking off the season is Dakar SLUSH'D, an international innovation and startup fair, on October 9-10. This is the first time the event is held in Senegal, bringing together entrepreneurs, investors, and innovators from around the world.
Following this, a Learning Expedition to Montreal is planned from October 25 to November 5 for Senegalese innovators. Although the hosting organization is not specified, the trip aims to foster international collaboration and knowledge exchange.
In November, two significant events will take place. Firstly, the Senegal Algorithms, Technology, and Innovation Fair (SALTIS) will occur on November 25-26, showcasing local talent and innovations. Secondly, the Planetary Digital Olympic Village by ASED is being developed in line with the preparations for the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games, aiming to create a digital legacy for the event.
The quarter will close with the NEXTEN Summit 2025 from December 3-5. This summit focuses on transforming Africa's economy and technology sectors through AI and blockchain, attracting international attention to Senegal's digital landscape.
Additionally, SIPEN by OPTIC, a flagship event of Senegal's digital economy, is scheduled for October 16-17, further enriching the quarter's digital calendar.
With these events, Senegal is positioning itself as a hub for digital innovation and collaboration. The Government's support through partnership agreements underscores its commitment to fostering growth in the tech sector, with potential benefits for the broader economy.
