Siemens streamlines electric vehicle fleet supervision through the American launch of Depot360.
Siemens Mobility Services Introduces Depot360 Home Charging Reimbursement Solution
Siemens Mobility Services has unveiled Depot360 Home Charging Reimbursement, a solution designed to streamline home charging reimbursement programs for fleet operators. This innovative offering addresses the challenges of managing and reimbursing electric vehicle (EV) home charging sessions efficiently.
The Depot360 Home Charging Reimbursement solution leverages vehicle telematics data and geofencing technology to accurately identify and measure home charging sessions. By doing so, it eliminates the need for costly networked chargers and meters, providing a cost-effective solution for fleet operators.
This solution offers several benefits for fleet operators, including:
- Accurate tracking of home charging events using telematics and geofencing data.
- Reimbursement of drivers based on actual energy used at home.
- Avoidance of purchasing expensive home charging network hardware and metering devices.
- Continuous support for drivers managing home charging, with 24/7 access to Siemens' experts.
Home charging will give fleet operators the opportunity to reduce energy costs by leveraging scale via aggregation. The collective data from home charging sessions will feed the algorithms of the Depot360 AI platform, allowing for optimization across all fleet charging applications.
Depot360 Home Charging Reimbursement is compatible with all chargers and EVs, making it an accessible solution for a wide range of fleet operators. It is part of Siemens Mobility’s broader Managed Services portfolio aimed at accelerating fleet electrification in the U.S.
Siemens Mobility Services, a part of Siemens Corporation Supply Chain Management, is the first customer to deploy Depot360® Home Charging Reimbursement in the United States. The company aims to roll out this solution to all of its 11,000 vehicles in the US by 2030.
Adam Orth, US Head of Fleet at Siemens Mobility Services, stated that the company's internal identification of the optimal solution highlights their in-house expertise. The Depot360 Home Charging Reimbursement solution may also enable fleets to participate in energy programs, offering additional opportunities for cost reduction and energy savings.
In addition, Depot360 Home Charging Reimbursement can measure program effectiveness through analytics, reducing upfront infrastructure costs and ongoing operational expenses. The solution includes 24/7 access to Siemens' experts who support driver onboarding, manage driver queries, provide periodic analytics, and troubleshooting.
As Depot360 solutions continue to develop, they will help fleet operators unlock additional energy savings and revenue streams. For more information, visit ACT Expo booth #4315. Depot360 is a registered trademark of Siemens and/or its affiliates in some countries.
