Singapore Cruise Center to Enhance Passenger Experience with Sita's Advanced Tech

Singapore Cruise Center (SCC) is set to enhance passenger experience with the adoption of Sita's Flex as a Service. This move, part of a deal signed with Sita, will see the implementation of advanced technology solutions across Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal (TMFT) and HarbourFront Ferry Terminal (HFFT).

The upgrade, scheduled for the third quarter of 2016, includes the installation of 10 Sita Smart Path Bag Drop solutions and 13 new Sita Smart Path Gates. These will streamline news check-in and boarding procedures, respectively. Additionally, 45 Sita Smart Path Kiosks will be installed, future-proofing the terminals for biometric authentication.

SCC is also integrating its new cloud-based Departure Control System via Sita Flex. This will enable agile and responsive passenger processing and the development of custom passenger-facing applications. The upgraded terminals are expected to handle around 7 million passengers annually, demonstrating the project's ambition to significantly improve passenger processing capabilities and unlock future possibilities for the maritime news industry.

Sita's advanced technology solutions, including biometric-ready kiosks, self-bag drop, and gates, will modernize the passenger experience at SCC's terminals. The integration of SCC's new cloud-based Departure Control System via Sita Flex further enhances this transformation, setting a new standard for the maritime news industry.
