Sony Earbuds Chosen for Prime Day, Yet Face Minor Issue
Next month's Prime Day is right around the corner, and we can't help but think about what awesome gadgets to snag during the sales extravaganza. For me, it's gotta be the Sony WF-C710N wireless earbuds.
These bad boys have already earned themselves a five-star rating in our review, being labeled as "capable noise-cancellers that deliver a grown-up performance without breaking the bank."
So what makes these earbuds a must-have? For starters, there are touch controls over the original's click buttons, and the earbuds themselves are a little chunkier and heavier. The dual noise sensor tech makes for better noise cancellation, especially in the lower mid and bass frequencies. The wearer detection starts and stops playback when you put them in your ears and take them out, and their total battery life of 30 hours is double the C700N's. And let's not forget about the better sound quality - these earbuds dig up an awesome amount of detail, and they have Sony's usual excellent timing.
But here's the kicker. One of my favorite aspects of the C710N is the Glass Blue finish. Because it's transparent, you can see the inner workings of the 'buds. It's a unique touch, and let's hope it's available during the Prime Day sale.
Now, the good news is that there are expected discounts on the Sony WF-C710N during the upcoming Prime Day event. However, I wouldn't put all my eggs in one basket, especially when it comes to the Glass Blue finish. Previous sales have only featured discounts on the black and white finishes, so it's possible the Glass Blue finish could be left out of this year's sale. Fingers crossed that I'll be able to grab a pair of these sonic wonders for a steal!
