Tees Valley to Boost Traffic Management with Yunex Traffic's Fusion

Tees Valley Combined Authority (TVCA) has chosen Yunex Traffic's Fusion, a next-generation adaptive traffic control solution, to manage traffic across the region. Andrea Reacroft, Digital Transport Programme Delivery Manager at TVCA, confirmed this, highlighting Fusion's ability to enhance traffic signal control.

Fusion, developed by Yunex Traffic, uses modern data sources to monitor traffic and predict congestion. Wilke Reints, Managing Director of Yunex Traffic in the UK, praised TVCA's choice, citing Fusion's potential to boost network performance without major infrastructure changes.

The software aims to optimize traffic signal timings, prioritizing active travel modes and cleaner air outcomes. It also seeks to improve network efficiency, offering automated incident detection, improved bus service reliability, and reduced delays and emissions. TVCA hopes to use Fusion to reduce congestion and enhance air quality, ultimately improving journey times for all transport modes.

TVCA's selection of Yunex Traffic's Fusion marks a significant step towards smarter traffic management in the region. The CiTTi Awards, scheduled for 26 November 2024 in London, will celebrate such innovations and achievements in intelligent transport systems.
