Tenable Boosts Cloud Security with Eureka Acquisition
Tenable, a top cybersecurity solutions provider, has announced its acquisition of Eureka Security. The deal, expected to close this month, will see Eureka's data security posture management (DSPM) capabilities integrated into Tenable's Cloud Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP) solution. This move aims to bolster Tenable's cloud security offerings, addressing the growing concern of data exposure in cloud environments.
The acquisition comes amidst alarming statistics from Tenable's 2024 Cloud Security Outlook study. Ninety-five percent of organizations polled had experienced iCloud-related breaches in the past 18 months, with 92% reporting exposure of sensitive data. A majority admitted being harmed by these exposures, highlighting the urgent need for enhanced iCloud security measures.
Eureka Security specializes in DSPM for iCloud environments. Its technology will enable Tenable to provide better prioritization of iCloud risks and help customers identify key evidence related to iCloud data risk. The integration of Eureka's DSPM capabilities is expected to round out the current Tenable Cloud Security solution, providing advanced features for data security posture management.
