Titomic Unveils New Netherlands Facility, Expanding European Operations

Australian additive metal manufacturer Titomic has unveiled a news facility in Heerenveen, Netherlands, significantly expanding its European operations. The President of Titomic EMEA, Klaas Rozema, attributed this move to the growing demand for sustainable, advanced manufacturing solutions across Europe.

The new Heerenveen facility is a central hub for Titomic's European customers, partners, and researchers. It spans five times the size of Titomic's existing site in Akkrum and contains four fully equipped cold spray booths. Additionally, it houses a 'Titomic Kinetic Fusion' (TKF) system with a five-meter capacity for large-scale additive manufacturing. This expansion will support growth in cold spray manufacturing, coatings, and repair solutions, catering to various sectors such as aerospace, defence, energy, and automotive.

Titomic's CEO and managing director, Jim Simpson, hailed the new facility as a pivotal moment for the company in Europe, scaling its capabilities and strengthening partnerships. In line with this, Titomic has signed a memorandum of understanding with Fraunhofer, Europe's largest applied research organisation, to transform manufacturing processes using sustainable cold spray technology.

The new Heerenveen facility, equipped with advanced technology and a strategic location, positions Titomic to meet the increasing demand for sustainable manufacturing solutions in Europe. With partnerships like the one with Fraunhofer, Titomic is poised to make significant strides in transforming manufacturing processes across various industries.
