Today's "Wordle" Solution Pointers, Tips, and Solution for December 30th, Monday
Got a hankering for Wordle hints and clues for this weekend? Look no further!:
With 2024 coming to an end, we're nearly at the finish line. Only a couple more days till we have to remember to put 2025 instead. That's a cool number, ain't it? Then it's another 25 years before we hit the mid-century mark. If I'm lucky to make it that far, I'll be 68 by New Year's 2050. My oldest kid will be 42, and my youngest will be 39. If we're still around in 2075, modern medicine and science might have figured out some way to extend our lifespan, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
Why you ask if Wordle will still be around in 2050? We're already struggling to remember what the year 2000 looked like. Back before the internet went mainstream, and 9/11 altered the world forever.
Say, what is Wordle, you ask? Let's try and solve it then!
How To Solve Today’s Wordle

Wordle Analysis
I like to use the Wordle Bot to help analyze my guessing game. You can, too, by checking yours out right here.
This was much easier than yesterday. Y'all were struggling with "LEANT" a lot. It left me with 16 words to choose from, and "TRADE" brought it down to one. It wasn't too hard to figure out "STARE" from there.
If I scored for guessing in three tries, I'd get one point. If I tied with the bot, it would be a zero. I'll take the point though, thanks!
Competitive Wordle Score
Should I guess in 1, it's worth 3 points. Should I guess in 2, it's worth 2 points. In 3, it's worth 1 point. In 4, it's worth none. In 5, it's worth negative 1 point. In 6, it's worth negative 2 points. Missing the Wordle means losing 3 points. If I win, I get 1 point. If I tie, I get none. If I lose, I get negative 1 point. Keep track of your points daily or just for a new score each day. Fridays are double points, BTW!
You can keep a running tally or play day by day. Just make sure to enjoy yourself!
Today’s Wordle Etymology
Maybe you've heard "starian" before, which means "to gaze, look fixedly," and comes from the Old English "stare" or the Proto-Germanic "starōną." All of which trace back to the Indo-European language's "ster-" root, meaning "to be rigid or stiff," capturing the sense of fixed and intense focus.
