We're now ten days into the last month of the year. Only three weeks are left until we're celebrating with champagne and counting down to 2025. This will be my twenty-fifth quarter of life. I was only eighteen when the previous quarter century ended, though it also marked the end of one century and the beginning of another. It's hard to believe that Y2K was twenty-five years ago and that 9/11 was nearly twenty-five years ago. Nobody could have predicted the world we live in today, that's for sure.
But let's move on and tackle this Wordle!

I had quite a lucky day today. SPATE is usually a great opening guess and it left me with just 8 remaining options and three yellow boxes. I decided on all new letters for my next guess, CHOIR, and that was an excellent choice. Only one possible solution remained: PATIO for the win!
Competitive Wordle Score
I get 1 point for guessing in three and 0 for tying the Bot. That'll do.

Today's Wordle Origin
The term "patio" stems from Spanish, where it originally meant an inner courtyard or open area within a building. Its origin can be traced back to the Latin word "pactum", which meant "agreement" or "contract." Over time, the term evolved in Old Spanish to signify a cleared or open space. Eventually, it specifically referred to a courtyard or garden space, particularly one that is open to the sky.
