Upcoming CES 2025 Sneak Peek and Virtual Participation Guide

The 2025 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is gearing up for its run from January 7-10. Renowned for showcasing functional prototypes and cutting-edge technology, CES is also a platform for significant announcements from prominent brands. It's a significant affair where companies globally display their forthcoming products. As a reference, CES 2024 saw over 135,000 attendees and more than 4,300 exhibitors, as per the official website's stats.

Preceding this grand celebration, various players in the consumer tech field have disclosed their plans. For instance, Nvidia schedules a live event on January 6 with CEO Jensen Huang leading the show. But CES offers more than just consumer tech, and here are the sectors to observe closely at CES 2025:

More Smarter Glasses, Laptop Upgrades, and New PC Components

Smart glasses can be categorized into two categories – firstly, AI-equipped smart glass models like the Meta Ray-Ban, featuring cameras, speakers, and AI capabilities. Secondly, augmented reality (AR) glasses such as RayNeo Air, providing advanced features akin to Vision Pro in a more compact and lightweight form.

At CES 2024, I demoed a pair of AR glasses. Although I couldn't review one, they resemble carrying a portable computer with multiple screens wherever you go. I anticipate to witness more AR smart glasses at CES 2025 alongside AI companion robots and translation devices.

AI-driven smart glasses are gaining traction. Whereas Meta's Ray-Bans might be the most popular smart glasses of 2024, they lack a screen. These AI glasses have inspired other companies to investigate this form factor, and CES 2025 might exhibit several such designs.

CES also serves as a hub for laptops, and 2025 won't be an exception. Anticipate significant announcements from prominent computing brands, including Intel, AMD, and Qualcomm, who are rumored to unveil new processors during the event. AMD and Nvidia are also expected to reveal new GPUs and graphic cards.

Everyday Existence in Caen

Without a doubt, AI will have a prominent role. The Rabbit R1 was a standout highlight at last year’s event, and CES 2025 might have more AI-driven products. The application will not be restricted to hardware products but will also integrate into software across various software products. Additionally, AI is expected to appear in refrigerators, monitors, and other appliances.

CES 2025 Keynotes to Focus

CES serves as a venue for various companies to present their events for new announcements, and these are the CES 2025 events you should mark on your calendar:

Nvidia

Nvidia will host its event on January 6 at 6:30 PM PT. The chip giant has experienced outstanding growth recently and is expected to introduce major new chips. CEO Jensen Huang will commence the keynote with his signature leather jacket and unwavering vision.

AMD

Samsung's Transparent Micro-LED Display with a Size of 5078

AMD’s keynote is scheduled for January 6 at 11:00 AM PT. The company is anticipated to unveil new GPUs and RDNA 4 cards. Is it possible we’ll see the RX 8000 or RX 9000 series?

Samsung

This event is not about the Galaxy S25 Ultra – that will arrive later in the month. Instead, Samsung’s CES event will focus on household appliances. In 2024, we saw the Music Frame and next-gen transparent TVs. This year’s event tagline “AI for All: Everyday, Everywhere” hints at a push to incorporate AI in more home devices.

CES 2025 will be Thrilling

CES also encourages advancements in TVs, home theaters, and the automotive industry. At CES 2024, Sony opted out of showcasing new TVs, focusing instead on its prototype car Afeela with Honda. I expect to see more prototypes with avant-garde designs in the automotive industry alongside the usual attention on humanoids, robots, and AI pet companions.

One of the best aspects of CES is that it surprises you every year. And I'll be on-ground to hunt down those surprises.

At the Nvidia event on January 6, CEO Jensen Huang is expected to introduce major new chips during his keynote, showcasing the company's unwavering vision and innovation in the tech field. Additionally, Samsung's CES event on an unspecified date will focus on incorporating AI into more household appliances, following their display of the Music Frame and next-gen transparent TVs in 2024.
