Vietnamese firm ABeam Consulting introduces job application platform for Japan
The DOLAB-JICA project, a digital tool designed to help Vietnamese workers access verified job postings from Japanese companies, has entered a new phase. Launched in April 2024, phase two focuses on the deployment of the web platform and mobile app.
This project, a collaboration between the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the Department of Overseas Labour Management, and ABeam Consulting Vietnam, is not just a job search platform. It is a significant step towards building a responsible and inclusive society, partnering with the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and Japan Platform to support migrant workers.
By April 2025, 263 service providers had been trained on platform usage and system operations. The DOLAB-JICA platform, available on Google Play and App Store, has been downloaded 230 times. Over 27,000 site visits have been recorded, and 956 job postings have been updated. Moreover, 159 worker accounts have been created.
The DOLAB-JICA app offers transparency, allowing users to view details such as company names, job categories, responsibilities, contract duration, salary, allowances, and all costs prior to departure. This transparency aims to protect workers and ensure they are well-informed before making critical decisions.
Ryohei Oda, managing director of ABeam Consulting Vietnam, stated that the DOLAB-JICA project is a key part of their social transformation strategy in Vietnam. Oda expressed pride in contributing to a project that reflects their long-term commitment to social transformation. ABeam Consulting Vietnam believes in the power of technology to create social value and empower individuals.
Yosuke Kobayashi, chief representative of JICA Vietnam, stated that the goal is to change the paradigm of labor migration through digital transformation. The project's future plans include expanding its impact beyond Vietnam, aiming to make a difference in the lives of even more migrant workers.
ABeam Consulting Vietnam is leading software development and coordination for the DOLAB-JICA application. The company's commitment to this project underscores their belief in leveraging technology to improve social wellbeing, enhance transparency, and protect citizens' rights. The DOLAB-JICA project aligns with broader efforts to strengthen labor cooperation and support migrant workers' rights and integration, as emphasized in regional frameworks like ASEAN agreements addressing migrant labor conditions and workforce development.
In this new phase of the DOLAB-JICA project, the focus is not only on job search but also on social transformation, as ABeam Consulting Vietnam leads software development and coordination for the web platform and mobile app. The project, a collaboration with JICA and the Department of Overseas Labour Management, aims to change the paradigm of labor migration through digital transformation, with a long-term commitment to technology use in finance, business, and technology industries to create social value, enhance transparency, and protect migrant workers' rights.
