Vizio's MicMe Soundbar is specifically designed for individuals who believe they excel at karaoke performances.

The $350 MicMe device from Vizio ponders the importance you ascribe to serenity if you're parenting youngsters who persistently belt out Hot to Go.

Vizio's MicMe Soundbar is specifically designed for individuals who believe they excel at karaoke performances.

You've got a voice, and it's time to let it sing, even if others might prefer some silence. Budget TV brand Vizio is giving consumers the chance to become their neighbors' favorite serenaders with their new product, MicMe. Combining Vizio's existing soundbar technology and an external mic station, this device is perfect for you, your family, or your kids to perform their heart out with another rendition of Hot to Go!

Priced at $350, the MicMe boasts a crisp white finish, echoing the design of Vizio's 30-inch 2.1 Soundbar released earlier this year. Both share a miniature wireless subwoofer, but the MicMe's standout feature is its separate microphone stand. Equipped with two wireless stick mics and a charging base station, it provides a unique allure compared to other soundbars.

According to Vizio, all you need to do is pick up the microphone, and the soundbar magically transforms into a karaoke machine, emitting sounds from your TV and the microphone. You can tweak the microphones and soundbar settings through the Vizio app, allowing for pitch correction, echo effects, and colorful LED lighting on the mic stands. Like its sibling soundbars, the white MicMe supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X.

Vizio is showcasing its Karaoke app, available on iOS and Android, and powered by Stingray's vast music library of over 80,000 tracks. However, you are free to utilize any other music streaming service, such as YouTube, Spotify, or Apple Music. I've personally tested Apple Music's karaoke feature and would advise covering your ears to save your tympans.

While browsing the browser-based Stingray Karaoke site, it appears the selection of music genres in the app falls short, with just a few options like "Pop," "Rock," or "Christian." The app has a dedicated section for Disney songs and movie soundtracks, such as The Barbie Movie and The Greatest Showman.

Each stick mic promises an impressive eight hours of battery life, but we doubt your microphones will be straying too far from their charging stations. If you manage to spend a full workday singing in front of your TV, congratulations on experiencing the epitome of leisure.

The MicMe should function seamlessly with any TV connected with eARC HDMI, although Vizio is primarily marketing it for its own TVs. It's compatible with Vizio TVs' QuickFit attachment points, ensuring a hassle-free setup.

I was quite pleased with the quality of Vizio's $170 2.1 Soundbar, and I expect the MicMe to deliver the same bass-filled sounds, albeit for a higher price tag. Just remember, if your kids start singing Let it Go non-stop, you might end up yearning to throw the soundbar out the window.

The MicMe is expected to hit the shelves around the end of November.

The tech industry is continuously pushing boundaries with innovative products, and Vizio's MicMe is a prime example of this trend in the future of technology. With its unique features and integration with popular music streaming services, the MicMe is set to revolutionize home entertainment.
