Ready to Celebrate Women in Blockchain?

International Women's Day is around the corner, and crypto exchange Bitget is promoting gender equality and increasing female participation in the blockchain industry with its Blockchain4Her (B4H) program. To showcase the first year of the initiative, Bitget has unveiled the B4H brooch, a symbol of hope, renewal, and new beginnings.

Inspired by Mărțișor, a traditional spring festival in Moldova and Romania, the B4H brooch is more than just a symbol. It represents the mindset Bitget aims to spread – one that recognizes the importance of gender equality. As stated in their press release, "Visibility creates strength: when our efforts become noticeable, their impact multiplies."

The B4H program kicked off in January 2024 and has achieved impressive milestones:

  • Allocated $50,000 to support women-led startups
  • Honored nine outstanding women with the Blockchain4Her Awards
  • Organized over 10 international events, attended by 1,000+ women

At the Crypto Expo in Romania, Bitget announced its Blockchain4Her mentorship program to help women interested in Web3 connect with experienced mentors. These mentors are B4H ambassadors and Blockchain4Her Awards winners, paving the way for a more empowered future for women in the blockchain field.

CEO Gracy Chen shared her thoughts on the B4H initiative, stating, "This brooch represents change, progress, and inclusivity, reinforcing Bitget's commitment to building a truly diverse Web3 ecosystem."

As part of its ongoing commitment to gender equality in Web3, Bitget also participated in the SheFi Summit in Singapore and organized the Southeast Asia Blockchain4Her Awards. The winners included leading female experts such as Tasha Punyaneramitdee (Innovative Web3 Female Entrepreneur Award - SEA Edition) and Anna Beh (3rd-place winner of the Pitch n Slay initiative, funded and supported by Bitget to drive female entrepreneurship).

Bitget’s blockchain initiatives don't stop there. The exchange has pledged significant investment for digital and blockchain literacy, particularly among students and women-led cooperatives. With a dedication to fostering gender equality and promoting female leadership in the blockchain sector, the future looks bright for Bitget's B4H program and the industry as a whole.
