WWF Germany Launches 'NFAs: Non-Fungible Animals' NFT Collection for Endangered Species

WWF Germany is set to launch its first NFT collection, 'NFAs: Non-Fungible Animals', to raise awareness about endangered species. The NFT drop, scheduled for November 2, 2021, features 10 unique artworks, each representing an endangered species and limited to the current population of that species.

The NFT collection, proposed by Max Penk in March 2022, will be minted on the Polygon blockchain, known for its energy efficiency. Each NFT can only be purchased using stablecoin USDC. The artists involved, both established and emerging, have donated their works, with proceeds going directly to WWF projects aimed at saving endangered species and their habitats.

The NFTs will be sold at prices ranging from 79 to 799 USDC, with the primary value lying in supporting the cause. The Genesis collection will drop at 2 pm (GMT +1) on WWF Germany's website. Max Penk, inspired by the uniqueness of his cats, saw the potential in using NFTs for a good cause.

WWF Germany's 'NFAs: Non-Fungible Animals' NFT drop is a novel way to raise awareness and funds for endangered species. By choosing the energy-efficient Polygon blockchain and involving artists who care about animal welfare, WWF Germany ensures that the project aligns with its environmental mission.
