Yamaha unveils the upgraded MT-15 V2.0 with fresh features, available at a starting price of ₹1.70 lakh in 2025.

Upgraded Yamaha MT-15 V2.0 DLX now features a brand-new TFT display for turn-by-turn navigation, and a fresh array of color options has been introduced across the entire series.

Yamaha unveils the upgraded MT-15 V2.0 with fresh features, available at a starting price of ₹1.70 lakh in 2025.

The 2025 Yamaha MT-15 is set to offer an enhanced riding experience, thanks to the updated Y-Connect mobile app and various tech upgrades. The app, now equipped with features such as maintenance recommendations, parking location tracking, and a rider ranking system, aims to increase rider convenience, safety, and engagement.

The new features in the app include real-time maintenance updates and recommendations, fuel consumption tracking, malfunction alerts, a parking location feature, a revs dashboard, and a unique rider ranking system. The app also supports Bluetooth-enabled Turn-by-Turn Navigation integrated with the bike's new color TFT display, providing a first-of-its-kind connected experience for this model.

The 2025 Yamaha MT-15 boasts a kerb weight of 141 kg, offering a good power-to-weight ratio. The motorcycle is equipped with a 6-speed gearbox and a slip and assist clutch. Under the hood, it maintains its power source from a 155 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA).

The engine generates 18.14 bhp at 10,000 rpm and 14.1 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm. The standard variant of the 2025 Yamaha MT-15 comes with a new colour option, Metallic Silver Cyan. There's also a V2 version available, offering colour options such as Vivid Violet Metallic and the new Ice Storm.

In the streetfighter segment, the 2025 Yamaha MT-15 competes against bikes like the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 and TVS Apache RTR 200 4V. Other options in the market include the KTM 160 Duke and KTM 200 Duke, upcoming motorcycles with an expected price of ₹ 1.85 Lakhs for the KTM 160 Duke.

Riders interested in the KTM 160 Duke can opt to be notified when it is launched. The 2025 Yamaha MT-15 also comes with a digital console borrowed from the Yamaha R15M, featuring Bluetooth connectivity via the Y-Connect mobile app.

The 2025 Yamaha MT-15 is equipped with traction control and dual-channel ABS for added safety. With these tech upgrades, Yamaha continues to push the boundaries of motorcycle innovation, providing riders with a connected and engaging riding experience.
