Yuga Labs, the company behind the popular Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), has recently acquired CryptoPunks. This move grants holders commercial rights to their NFTs, marking a significant development in the world of digital assets. Meanwhile, other prominent PFP NFTs like CyberKongz and Azuki have been making waves with their own updates and achievements.
CryptoPunks, with a floor price of 68.5 Ethereum, was snapped up by Yuga Labs. This acquisition allows holders to use their NFTs for commercial purposes, opening up new opportunities in the metaverse and beyond. In other news, CyberKongz Genesis has been recreating its 2D NFT art on-chain, airdropping it to Genesis Collection holders. This move comes as the project's floor price stands at 56.66 Ethereum.
The Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC), a spin-off of BAYC, has a floor price of 24.3 Ethereum. It was created by injecting a 'mutant serum' into a BAYC NFT. Meanwhile, RTFKT CloneX offers a diverse range of 20,000 avatars, with collaborations from renowned artists like Murakami. Its floor price currently stands at 20.25 Ethereum.
Currently, only six PFP NFTs have reached a floor price of more than 20 Ethereum. BAYC leads the pack with a floor price of 110.9 Ethereum. Azuki NFTs, with a floor price of 26.89 Ethereum, have swiftly overtaken other blue-chip NFT projects like Doodles and Cool Cats.
These developments highlight the dynamic nature of the NFT market, with projects continually evolving and setting new benchmarks. As the industry grows, so does the potential for innovation and value creation. However, it remains to be seen which other PFP NFT projects will join the ranks of these high-value collections in the future.
