Zeekr, the Chinese electric vehicle (EV) brand, has announced the launch of its upcoming high-performance shooting brake model, the Zeekr 7 GT. This latest addition to Zeekr's lineup is expected to hit the market in the second quarter of this year, following the success of the Zeekr 007 electric sedan.

The Zeekr 7 GT is set to offer a unique blend of electric performance, rapid charging technology, and estate car practicality, positioning it as a compelling option in the luxury electric shooting brake market.

Key specifications and features of the Zeekr 7 GT include a dual-motor all-wheel drive system delivering around 646 horsepower and 710 Nm of torque, enabling brisk acceleration from 0–100 km/h in approximately 2.8 seconds. The vehicle is equipped with a large 100 kWh battery pack, offering an estimated pure electric driving range of approximately 585 km under the CLTC cycle.

The Zeekr 7 GT also boasts ultra-fast charging capabilities, supporting charging at up to 500 kW. This allows charging from 10 to 80% in under 11 minutes, and a rapid charge time as low as 0.18 hours (about 11 minutes).

In terms of dimensions, the Zeekr 7 GT measures approximately 4864 mm in length, 1900 mm in width, and 1445 mm in height. It is a 5-door, 5-seater station wagon with a shooting brake silhouette, emphasizing both sporty styling and practicality. The vehicle is capable of a top speed of around 210 km/h, combining sport sedan dynamics with a comfortable ride.

The Zeekr 7 GT is expected to showcase efficiency relative to its performance and size, with an estimated energy consumption of approximately 14.8 kWh per 100 kilometers. While pricing information for the Zeekr 7 GT has not been released, the Zeekr 007 sedan starts at RMB 209,900 ($28,630) in China.

This is Zeekr's second shooting brake model, following the Zeekr 001, which was launched on April 15, 2021, and contributed 64% of the total Zeekr units delivered in 2023. In January-November 2024, the Zeekr 001 delivered 92,289 units, contributing 47.34% of Zeekr deliveries in the same period.

Zeekr CEO Andy An, who is also the president of Geely, made the announcement about the shooting brake model based on the Zeekr 007 electric sedan during a January call. The Zeekr 007 GT will be named the Zeekr 7 GT in overseas markets.

The Zeekr 7 GT was first unveiled through three new images shared on Weibo, providing the first look at the shooting brake model in real life. This news was also shared on our Telegram channel and Google News.

The Zeekr 007 electric sedan, launched on December 27, 2023, marks Zeekr's entry into the mainstream EV market. Zeekr plans to launch three new models in 2025, with one model scheduled for each of the second through fourth quarters.
